Balinese cats are the long-haired version of the Siamese cat.  The old style or "Traditional" cats have the robust bodies, large round heads and incredible sapphire eyes like their short haired cousins.  Balis have an additional flair of long, silky hair that is both beautiful and elegant.  This long haired coat has the benefit of not matting or tangling.

They diplay the same basic colors as their Siamese counterparts: Sealpoint, Bluepoint, Chocolate and Lilac point.  They also come in the variants:  Red/Flame, Lynx, Tabby and Tortie points.

Balinese cats have a very high level of intelligence and make wonderful companions.  They are talkative, entertaining and highly socialable.  They are as vocal as Siamese but have a somewhat softer, lesser tone to their voice, and a more gentle nature to their play.

Balis have a great temperment and a huge desire for love and affection.  They will greet you at the door and remain under your feet amusing themselves until ou are ready to sit and relax.  Then they will either climb into your lap or onto your shoulder gently demanding your affection.  They love to play fetch and are constantly entertaining everyone with their antics.
